Palate Coblation
Coblation of the Soft Palate is another convenient, effective way to decrease snoring.
Performed in the office under local anesthesia, it takes less than 15 minutes, and most patients immediately return to normal diet and activities.
Coblation uses radio frequency (RF) energy to form channels in the soft palate. The body’s natural response is to form scar tissue in these channels. This stiffens the soft palate, providing structural rigidity. Patients typically experience a reduction in snoring within 6 weeks of the procedure.
While not a permanent solution, coblation typically offers years of relief from disruptive snoring and is considerably less expensive than the Pillar Procedure. When combined with Inferior Turbinate Coblation, Coblation of the Soft Palate can be an effective, affordable solution to problem snoring.
