Founder & Medical Director

Dr. Schwimmer, is a Board Certified Otolaryngologist (Head and Neck Surgeon). A 1991 graduate of the Emory University School of Medicine, he completed his otolaryngology training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, studying under some of the leading clinicians and scientists in the field of snoring and sleep apnea. He has co-authored numerous articles on the subject, including pioneering work on the relationship between obstructive sleep apnea and gastroesophageal reflux.

After six years of residency training, he practiced in Baltimore, Maryland, where he was also a member of the teaching faculty at Johns Hopkins University and actively involved in training otolaryngology residents. Since 2001, he has practiced in Dallas, where he founded The Snoring Center.

 

Marc Kayem, MD

Medical Director – Beverly Hills

Dr.Kayem is a Board Certified Otolaryngologist with over 20 years of experience, 13 of which have been spent in private practice in Southern California. Dr. Kayem has been involved in minimally invasive treatment of snoring and sleep apnea for several years and is a recognized leader in his field. A graduate of The University of Ottawa, he completed his otolaryngology training at The University of Montreal under the guidance of some of the leading clinicians in his field. Dr. Kayem is also a Fellow at the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons in Canada.

Dr. Kayem currently serves as a Team Physician for the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League.

 

Victoria Brkovich, MD

Medical Director – Chicago

Dr. Brkovich is a Board Certified Otolaryngologist. She earned her medical degree with honors from the University of Illinois College of Medicine where she was a junior inductee in the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She completed her residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where she was a chief resident. She also holds a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from Northwestern University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Dr. Brkovich is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. She joined The Snoring Center after more than five years of private ENT practice in the Chicago area. Her second languages include Croatian and Spanish.

Paul Fulmer, MD, FACS

Medical Director – Houston

Dr.Fulmer, is a Board Certified Otolaryngologist who brings 17 years of experience to The Snoring Center. Dr. Fulmer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Baylor University in 1984 and then completed medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 1989. He went on to complete his internship and residency with the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery and the American College of Surgeons, an associate fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, and is a member of the American Medical Association and the Texas Medical Association.

 

Sharen Jeffries, MD

Medical Director – Newport Beach, CA

Sharen Jeffries, MD, is a Board Certified Otolaryngologist with years of clinical experience in treating adults and children with disorders of the head and neck.

In 2004, Dr. Jeffries co-founded what is now known as Premiere ENT, Inc., creating a digital office dedicated to the highest quality care for residents of the East Valley. Dr. Jeffries was listed as “The Top Doc” in the 2003 compendium of top doctors in the United States and served as Chief of Staff at Redlands Community Hospital from 2003 to 2005.

Dr. Jeffries is a graduate of the Baylor Medical College of Medicine. She later completed her otolaryngology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

 

Howard Herman, MD

Medical Director – Atlanta

Dr. Howard K. Herman is Board-Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine . He has provided ENT care and minimally invasive, office-based management of snoring and sleep apnea in the state of Georgia for nearly 20 years.

Dr. Herman has performed more Pillar implants than any other physician in the state of Georgia, and he has extensive experience with other minimally invasive procedures such as in-office turbinate reduction, in-office tonsil reduction and palatal reduction procedures. Dr. Herman has also had special training and experience in the latest therapies to manage nasal obstruction and sinus problems.

Dr. Herman received his degree in Medicine from the Boston University School of Medicine. Postgraduate training included an internship in General Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.

He is a member of several professional societies including the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and the American Medical Association. Dr. Herman has published book chapters and research articles in his field.
